I'm Interested vs Detailed Applications: Choosing the Right Approach

Written by Kate Levin

You now have two ways to let us know you want to be considered for an opportunity: submit a Detailed Application or select I'm Interested.

When to use I'm Interested

Use I'm Interested for opportunities that closely match your expertise. This streamlined approach lets your profile speak for itself while signaling interest quickly.

What happens when you choose Interested:

  • Your profile is flagged to our talent specialists

  • We review your fit based on your existing profile and project history

  • No guarantee of follow-up - we only contact you if there's a strong potential match

TIP - A strong, comprehensive profile eliminates the need for most Detailed Applications. Invest time in keeping your profile current rather than writing custom applications.

When to Submit a Detailed Application

Submit a Detailed Application only when you have specific project details that aren't covered in your profile. Use this option sparingly and only when additional context is truly necessary.

Before submitting a Detailed Application, ask yourself: Could this information be added to my profile instead? If yes, update your profile and use I'm Interested.

Remember: Both options keep you visible for future opportunities. Projects you don't get selected for still help our team understand your interests and capabilities.

Have questions about which approach to use for a specific project? Our team's ready to chat and help you make the best choice for your situation.
